IPS Power Transformer Technicians demonstratestrong repair skills and commitment for providing an Unmatched CustomerExperience.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Dismantle, rewind, reassemble, test and core iron repair on large andmedium substation/transmission class power transformersConduct work both in-shop and on customer sitesInspect, test, repair, investigate and report on various types of transformersPerform failure investigations, report findings, and recommend repairsEmploy test equipment and instruments that are required to performpreliminary, intermediate, and final testingWork safely alone and as part of a teamClosely adhere to all safety standards and proceduresEffectively contribute to a strong team environment through assistingteammates in accomplishing mutual goalsQualifications and Competencies:2 years experience winding various types of transformer coils preferred2 years or more experience in high voltage transformer testing - HiPot,load-loss/no-load-loss, impedance, impulse, temperature rise, etc. preferred3 years or more experience with substation class oil filled transformers in:untaking, gasketing, component change out, landing coils, tanking,testing, and vacuum oil processing preferred2 or more years experience in transformer low voltage testing - insulation,resistance, turn-to-turn ration, and Doble power factor testingAble to read and interpret drawings/diagrams and specifications(electrical, mechanical and connection)Strong oral and written communication and analytical skillsAble to work with minimal direction or supervisionHave experience with health and safety programsAbility to travel locally and overnightAvailable and willing to work flexible hours, overtime and weekends asrequired, willingness to be on callBenefits:Paid Time Off401k Employer MatchOn-the-job TrainingTuition Reimbursement ProgramMedical, Dental, and Vision plansSafety shoe & glasses reimbursementAnd more!
