Training Technician / Service Technician Road Warrior Needed!
Please note, the successful candidate will be a Road Warrior and must be willing to travel up to 95% and demonstrate the ability to work in an individual and team environment.

What you’ll do as a Training Technician (Primary role - approx. 50% of the time):
Array Academy Trainers will work under the supervision of the Director of Training and Development (Customer and Product Support) to ensure that our customers are trained appropriately on product installation, operation, and maintenance, in both classroom and hands on settings.
The successful candidate will be willing to travel up to 95% and demonstrate the ability to work in an individual and team environment.
Prepare for and deliver individual and group instruction by means of lecture, demonstrations, discussions, sketches, and visual aids in an in-person and distance learning format.
Create, develop, and maintain training programs and associated course materials in accordance with customer and product support training goals/needs.
Create course curriculum, syllabi/class outlines, student materials, and assessments to measure the student’s level of comprehension of the subject matter taught.
Maintain training related records.
Provide advice and help to customers as directed.
Maintain accurate and timely records of customer correspondence/discussions.
During training delivery, analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions and concerns to the Service Team.
Work closely with and be temporarily assigned to other Teams within the organization during your onboarding training period.
Ensure tools and equipment are operating properly.
Travel extensively – approx. 95% of the time will out out-of-town.
Work in all environments and weather conditions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The qualifications you must have:
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the willingness to learn the training functions of this role.
Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Strong time management skills.
Willingness for extensive, frequent travel – up to 95%.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Our preferred qualifications:
2+ years’ experience as an active trainer or in a similar position.
2+ years’ experience in instructional design.
Knowledge of Adult Learning Theory and various teaching/delivery methods.
Mastery of training delivery skills, group dynamics, and classroom management.
Experience developing training related policies and procedures.
1+ years working experience using tools and equipment required to maintain and repair company products.
1+ years working knowledge and application of arithmetic, geometry, electric circuits, and electronics.
Proven experience as a trades/technical trainer.
Manufacturing and field tech experience.
Background in solar industry.
What you’ll do as a Service Technician (Secondary role - approx. 50% of the time):
Service Technicians will work closely with the Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, and high-level Service Technicians to ensure that the customer’s needs are satisfied in an appropriate and timely manner. The successful candidate will be willing to travel up to 95% and demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment to aid in retrofits and commissioning's. You will be responsible for:
Provide infield support during retrofits.
Provide infield support during commissioning's.
Provide infield support during service repairs.
Provide advice and help to customers.
Maintain accurate and timely records of customer correspondence/discussions.
Help develop customer service standards, policies, and procedures.
Analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions to the Service Manager and Assistant Service Manager.
Ensure tools and equipment are operating properly.
Work in all environments and weather conditions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The qualifications you must have:
Willingness for extensive, frequent travel – up to 95%.
1+ years working experience using tools and equipment required to maintain and repair company products.
1+ years working knowledge and application of arithmetic, geometry, electric circuits and electronics.
General knowledge of mechanical systems.
General knowledge of electrical systems.
Strong leadership skills.
Strong communication skills.
Strong problem solving skills.
Dexterity required to perform manual labor in extreme temperatures.
