Job Summary
TheTraining & Development Specialistis directly responsible to the Human Resources Manager for the overall operation and execution of the training department’s process and procedures while providing oversight and maintenance of the GES DFW training system to ensure training is properly documented and tracked for the GES DFW operations.
Essential Job Duties
Maintain accurate paper and electronic training records for applicable GES DFW personnel in accordance with GES DFW Training Manual and regulatory requirements.
Assist in allocating assigned training personnel to ensure company goals are met.
Manage data input in the GES DFW Training Program system to ensure accurate training.
Use needs analysis tools and techniques to determine training plans based on business needs.
Develop, implement, and monitor strategic company and department initiatives.
Ensures training courses and materials are current according to GES DFW and customer requirements.
Interface with senior facility management to support training needs.
Act in the capacity of Instructor as required in supporting GES DFW training needs.
Develop and participate in an annual review (Needs Assessment) of the training program to determine if current and accurate for the work being performed.
Evaluate and develop corrective/preventive actions for departmental deficiencies identified.
Use Continuous Improvement (CI) Tools to constantly improve the training process using innovative techniques resulting in a better-trained employee.
Prepare monthly reporting metrics for the training department as requested.
Work with confidential data and ensure it is safeguarded to protect the privacy of GES DFW employees.
Develop Staff as necessary to ensure all aspects of the GES DFW Training Manual can be met at any time.
Perform audits of the GES DFW Training Program to ensure compliance with the GES DFW Training Manual and regulatory requirements.
Assist Quality Assurance in performing investigations of deficiencies found at GES DFW.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.Minimum Job Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience instructing in a relatable field
Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with a wide variety of people.
Knowledge of course delivery, utilizing all approved methods in accordance with all applicable regulations and manuals.
Language (read, write, speak, and understand English)
Must have strong computer skills for use with typical business software and equipment.
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally by driving and/or flying (10%)
Preferred
Four (4) year degree in relevant discipline
FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate or Repairman’s certificate
5 years of experience in aviation
ATA 104 level III certificates
Ten (10) or more years instruction/teaching in relevant field
Accountabilities
The Training & Development Specialist is accountable to the HR Manager with a dotted line to the Quality Assurance Manager for performing daily assignments in a timely, accurate, and professional manner in accordance with all applicable regulations and manual.
Physical Requirements
Must have legible handwriting.
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Subject to continual noise.
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and stand for prolonged periods, climb steps, ladders, and/or service stands.
Ability to talk, hear and smell.
Reach/handle items, work with fingers, and perceive attributes of object and materials.
Normal or corrected hearing.
May need to work in hot or cold weather conditions.
Visual Acuity must be a minimum of 20/40 corrected.
