The Merchant Risk Training Business Partner will provide a comprehensive and effective service that ensures employees within Checkout’s Client Services’ function have the skills, knowledge and expertise to perform their role at the required level of competence. This role will partner with our First Line Risk Operations teams to provide training and learning opportunities to new and existing members of the teams.

Part 1: The role
With the ability to work cross-functionally in Client Services, you’ll be part of the Operational Excellence Training team working alongside peers in Knowledge Management and Product, Process and Tools. You will partner with the teams in Merchant Risk Operations including: Underwriting, Credit Risk, Portfolio Management, Scheme Management and Disputes. You will lead the design, development and delivery of training content specific to the Client Services’ function strategic objectives.Execute engaging training programs which maximise adoption, completion rates, and end user net satisfaction scores. Deliver blended training programs, both virtually and in person across global teams.Source and identify training gaps for the business, developing customized training to address the needs whilst soliciting cross-functional Client Services and broader Checkout team feedback before finalising and rolling-out initiatives.Maintain a keen understanding of learning innovation and training trends, leveraging best practices, including digital learning, instructional design practices and learning technologies.Help ensure readiness of the organization for training deployment including identifying key stakeholders and determining their needs in advance in order to deliver high quality and effective training modules Part 2: How you’ll make an impact
Devise effective, impactful Merchant Risk Operations training content in line with Client Service function requirements, to market specifications.Ensure quality checks and correct standards are in place to ensure content is being delivered to meet both stakeholder and FinTech market needs.Skills to deliver and apply a solid knowledge of Merchant Risk Operations to a rapidly evolving FinTech environmentAdaptability to support Client Service OKRs (Organisational Key Results) and priority deliverables in FY24. Qualifications We’re looking for a Training Specialist experienced in Merchant Risk Operations who can lead and conduct product training sessions for this and other departments. An experienced first line financial and operations risk professional, ideally from a Merchant Risk Operations background who is adept at executing a broad range of training materials to drive engagement and knowledge transfer.Strong influencer with a background in executing training proven to improve Merchant Risk Ops knowledge transfer, and Merchant experience. Master of creating solid, engaging training materials, explaining the most complicated things in the simplest way. With an open, adaptive working style, excellent presentation skills.Ability to pivot and plan across our global regions for in-class training/digital learning development and webinars. Supporting the creation of sound and engaging digital learning modules and classroom courses. Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong executor with education, coaching and engaging delivery presentation skills.Skills to design, create and implement effective digital learning and classroom training, or hybrid blended learning programs.Adeptness at training content production using a variety of multimedia, software and learning platforms, maximising your knowledge of instructional design methods e.g., ADDIE method.Ability to absorb feedback, evaluate, and research recommended improvements and training innovations based on your training analysis.Quick learner who enjoys building relationships and working with people to get the best results, reliably driving consistency as well as excellent time and stakeholder management capabilities.
