  Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Responsibilities NONAPPROPRIATED FUND POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: TRAVEL/ITT MANAGER BUSINESS TITLE: TOURS PLUS MANAGER FLSA: Exempt JOB SERIES: 1101 PAY LEVEL: NF-3 __________________________ SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for the operation of the Information, Tickets & Tours (ITT) / Travel Agency office. May conduct research via internet; arranges, markets and directs tours to various points of interest utilizing land, air, and sea transportation. Handles all aspects of tours, including transportation, hotel accommodations, food service, recreational pursuits, and acts as tour guide to ensure quality service is provided. Must effectively communicate with a diverse variety of commercial entities. Tours may consist of one-day site visits to extended trips to foreign countries. Requests, stocks, maintains and updates recreational and travel brochures and schedules from known points of interest in order to provide the military community with information to assist in planning leave and liberty. Procures and provides patrons with tickets to various attractions of interest at best price. Plans, organizes work and manages internal resources to ensure maximum productivity and economies. Prepares financial plan, budgets, inventories, cost control, and related records and reports. Reviews the financial status of the assigned activity and recommends changes considered necessary. Ensures compliance with fire safety, security, and other environmental issues. Manages new property resources and provides advice on renovations and improvements. Maintains and enforces security for funds, merchandise, supplies and equipment to preclude or minimize the potential for fraud waste abuse. May operate a motor vehicle to transport passengers or equipment. Supervises employees to include: assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, completing performance reviews and signing timecards, training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program, and prevention of sexual harassment. Must be alert to alcohol abuse, and take appropriate action. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Develops and ensures implementation of an activity safety program in accordance with the Base Safety Program. Conducts safety meetings at least quarterly. Advises employees of available safety regulations, instructions, materials and equipment. Promptly reports workplace accidents to the Human Resources Office. Ensures safety training is provided to employees. Complies with OSHA standards and takes action to correct unsafe or unhealthy working conditions. Ensures employees understand safety infractions that can result in disciplinary actions, and follows through with appropriate action. Ensures minimal loss of duty by complying with ¿Return To Work¿ program initiatives, and following up on employee well being. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications BASIC REQUIREMENTS: 1. Must be at least 18 years old AND have graduated from high school. 2. Three years experience in the Travel and Tourism industry. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 1. Knowledge of business/financial and facility management. 2. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to deal with all classes of people. Skill to operate a personal computer. 3. May be required to travel extensively to include off-island. 4. Valid driver¿s license required. 5. Skill to supervise employees in accomplishment of work. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required. This activity is a Drug-free workplace.
