Growing manufacturing company seeking to hire a tool room tech to join their team.
Position is a full-time, long-term role, we are looking for career oriented individuals. Full benefits are available after probation period. Open is on 3rd / overnight shift (SU-TH).
Duties include, but not limited to:
Candidates will perform required operations to modify or repair broken or worn wood, metal and plastic patterns, core boxes, fixtures, and gauges using various shop tools, wood and metal working equipment. Replace or repair vents and seals on core boxes as required. Deliver pattern and core box equipment to work stations, as directed, and return to storage upon the completion of the production run. Substitute interchangeable parts on a variety of patterns.
Inspect and measure dimensions and tolerances using a variety of measuring equipment. Perform repairs in production areas on equipment being used on production lines as required. Load and unload tooling from delivery vehicles. Use a fork truck and overhead crane as needed. Assemble and disassemble tools and core molds.
Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift, and candidates can't be afraid to get their hands dirty when need be.
We are looking for candidates who have 1+ year of maintenance / repair / hand and power tool usage. It is also strongly preferred that candidates have previous experience operating forklifts or fork trucks. This position does require an extensive training period, and we are looking for candidates with consistent, long term work history.
