Description Are you looking to work at a well-respected organization as an Accounting Clerk? Robert Half has an open position for an Accounting Clerk to support the daily operations of a department. The Accounting Clerk tasks will consist of matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity based in the Freeport, Texas area.

　　What you get to do every day

　　Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of an array of sources

　　Contribute to Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

　　Order documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

　　Post financial figures to journals and ledgers

　　Aid Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

　　Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

　　Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required Requirements - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

　　Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is ideal, but not required

　　Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds

　　Strong familiarity with Time and attendance

　　Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred

　　Comprehensive knowledge of Timekeeping software

　　Time Entries experience required

　　Data entry experience
