The Elevator Pitch 

　　Are you driven by a passion for user experience design and eager to learn in a dynamic environment? As a UX Designer Intern at Evolv Digital, you will embark on a 10-week journey, enriching your skills in UX design and gaining a comprehensive understanding of our innovative digital products. Not only will you be gaining critical skills in digital products, but you will also have the opportunity to be exposed to the ins and outs of the company, while getting exposure to all other departments and how they operate.

　　Success in the Role: What are performance outcomes over the first half and second half of the internship you will work toward completing? 

　　  In the first 5 weeks, you will:

　　Immerse yourself in the ethos of Evolv, understanding our products, culture, and mission.

　　Conduct user research to uncover insights, behaviors, and needs.

　　Develop user personas and journey maps.

　　Collaborate on designing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity user interfaces.

　　Analyze user feedback to refine and iterate design solutions.

　　Participate in the launch of UX improvements or new features based on user-centric design principles.

　　In the last 5 weeks, you will:

　　Lead a UX-focused project, creating a comprehensive design proposal.

　　Refine your understanding of your career goals in the UX field.

　　The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

　　Dive into market and user research to inform and validate design decisions.

　　Work collaboratively with product managers and engineers to ensure design feasibility and alignment with product vision.

　　Develop and refine your skills in various UX design tools and methodologies.

　　Benefit from mentorship and engage in professional development opportunities.

　　Conduct thorough user research and present actionable insights.

　　Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create user-centered designs.

　　Focus on creating intuitive, accessible, and aesthetically pleasing user experiences.

　　User Interface Assessment (Weeks 1-3):

　　Review and analyze the current user interfaces of Evolv Digital's products.

　　Identify one or two key usability issues or design inconsistencies in each product.

　　Create a brief report summarizing these issues and suggesting small-scale improvements.

　　Share findings with the UX Design Lead for discussion and guidance.

　　Initial User Personas (Weeks 4-5):

　　Conduct basic user research to get a general understanding of the target audience for each product.

　　Develop simplified user personas for each product, focusing on key demographics and primary goals.

　　Create brief user journey maps to outline the main touchpoints and pain points.

　　Share these initial personas with the team for feedback and refinement.

　　UI Adaptation (Weeks 6-10):

　　Collaborate with the Digital Product Team to understand Evolv's new design system.

　　Select one of the existing user interfaces and adapt it to align with Evolv's design system.

　　Focus on implementing the design principles, styles, and components from the new system.

　　Work closely with developers to ensure the successful integration of the adapted UI.

　　Present the adapted UI to the team for review and feedback.

　　What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team? 

　　You will be joining the Digital Products Team, reporting to the Chief Digital Products Officer.

　　Where is the role located? 

　　The location of this role is based in Waltham, MA with some flexibility in being remote some days.  We do not provide relocation assistance at this time.What is the pay range?

　　The hourly pay range for this internship position is $22-$26 an hour. Our pay ranges are determined by your current level of education. Benefits
