Our Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Thermal Sciences Associate for our Thermal SciencesPractice in either Menlo Park, CA; Phoenix, AZ; or Denver, CO. Thisposition will involve applying fundamental engineering and scientifictechniques to real-world problems in failure analysis risk mitigation andproduct development.
You will be responsible for
Analyzing and distilling complex dataPerforming laboratory experiments and analytical or computational modelingReviewing and understanding experiments and simulations performed by clientsResearching and parsing data from published literatureConducting risk assessmentsPreparing written reports, proposals, and presentationsManaging projects and maintaining efficiency under deadlinesMost assignments will require the ability to gather information from andconvey technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, the legalprofession, business and industry
You will have the following skills and qualifications
Ph.D. in Aero-Astro, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical, Nuclear,Petroleum Engineering, or a related field, with a practical andtheoretical understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluidmechanics, and combustionA background in data sciences and/or electrical engineering would be aplus, but is not requiredOutstanding ability to apply fundamental engineering concepts to new problemsHands-on experience in designing and executing experimental programsFamiliarity with technical documents and equipmentExcellent written and verbal communications skills
