　　*Job Summary   *

　　Official duties and responsibilities of all faculty members at Alcorn State University include teaching, advising, scholarship, service, and professional activities. The successful candidate will teach Introduction to Music Technology and Advanced Music Technology courses, develop curriculum and work with the leadership to enhance the Music Industry offerings at Alcorn State University.

　　The candidate will provide evidence of a commitment to working collegially, and collaboratively while demonstrating advanced skills in excellent leadership and communication skills

　　Essential Job Functions

　　The candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform on a principal instrument

　　The candidate must demonstrate the ability to teach a principal instrument

　　The candidate must demonstrate the ability to teach Music Technology

　　The candidate must demonstrate the ability to operate Finale, or Sibelus Music Software

　　The candidate must demonstrate the ability to operate Pro Tools and Ableton Live

　　The candidate must demonstrate the ability to prepare Commercial Music Ensembles

　　*Qualifications   *

　　Preference will be given to a candidate in Music Technology or Musicology. The applicant must have a minimum of Master's degree in Music Technology, Music Performance , or related music field from a NASM accredited degree program. College Teaching Experienced required.

　　Pro Tools Licensing Preferred
