  Situated in the beautiful mountains near Michaux State Forest,  is a long-term care, skilled nursing facility operated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Human Services. We are seeking reliable, dedicated, experienced candidates to fill the role of Therapeutic Activities Worker.

  DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Therapeutic Activities Worker with the South Mountain Restoration Center, your day includes planning, organizing, and conducting therapeutic activity programs to ensure resident activities support the organizations mission of providing the highest standard of quality resident care.

  Activities are assigned to residents within the scope of approved activities  and approval of the Therapeutic Activities Supervisor (TAS). Large group special activities are also coordinated through the TAS. Resident activities goals and approaches are established based on each residents' personal needs determined through the activities assessments and daily interactions.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week.Work hours are 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch, and the following days for each position are:Position #1: Sunday through ThursdayPosition #2: Monday through FridayMay change based on operational needs.Through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Department of Human Services provides excellent , pay increases, paid leave and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement.Overtime, as needed.FREE PARKING!Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Four years of experience providing therapeutic activities for individuals with physical, medical, or cognitive disabilities; orA bachelor's degree with major coursework in therapeutic recreation; physical education; vocational rehabilitation; vocational education or counseling; art, music, dance, or occupational therapies; or a related human services field; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:You must meet the .
