　　As the Testing Governance Manager, you will be responsible for enforcing a more rigorous Quality mindset for Alight Worklife. You will focus on developing standards, best practices, metrics, and reporting patterns related to Quality. You will further help oversee the processes for building Quality and gating in the CICD pipeline. Lastly, you will help navigate the adoption of automated testing (Unit, API, Functional, and Specialized Testing) and building out frameworks for the same.

　　You will be focused on executing on a strategy that will enable our engineers to deliver software that keeps pace with product demand, brings change to market faster, and fosters a customer-centric test management approach. This role requires one to have strong communication skills and knowledge of what great software quality looks like so that you can help champion our Quality culture. You will be designing a roadmap for adopting best practices with the goal of bringing testing excellence to our software development and delivery. Further, you will help transform our teams to embrace automation, reducing risk and ensuring our customers have the most stable experiences.

　　What You’ll Do:

　　Design and build roadmap for defining and adopting best practices for Software Quality across the Alight Worklife Engineering teams.

　　Oversee development of UI and API Automation frameworks.

　　Design and build roadmap for adopting automated testing and frameworks across Unit, API, Functional, and Specialized Testing.

　　Work alongside DevOps partners to integrate Quality into the CICD pipeline. Ensure that test metrics are defined, gathered, and contributing to overall Quality Risk Scoring. Ensure that test automation runs as part of the build/deploy process.

　　Collaborate across Engineering teams to define Quality roles and responsibilities across teams, i.e., what is a definition of “tested” for a design system team versus Foundation vs Domain.

　　Push and transform engineers towards an automation-first mindset.

　　Own outcomes related to improving testing traceability and defect reduction / reduced leakage, improving testing governance and quality predictability.

　　Interface with Engineering organization understand pain points and have teams drive towards resolution in the vein of continuously improving software quality.

　　What You’ll Need:

　　Demonstrated ability to collaborate with highly skilled technical individuals.

　　Demonstrated ability to collaborate in an environment with a robust offshore presence

　　Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas with Senior IT and business leadership.

　　Clear overall experience and industry knowledge in one or more of the following: Testing Governance models, metrics, and reporting; defining test strategy; testing traceability; test auditing; quality gating in the CICD pipeline; unit, API, and UI/Functional testing and defining standards for each; implementing automation frameworks; experience one or more of Web UI, API, and Mobile Testing

　　Working knowledge of Agile Software Quality practices and can demonstrate fostering Quality Excellence

　　Experience in driving solutions that map to the global Quality standards and roadmaps in a decentralized delivery model.

　　Collaborative, diplomatic, and articulate demeanor that encourages broad-based acceptance and support of solutions which align with strategic technology direction of the company.

　　Proven track record in successfully leading Quality transformation, including fostering the profession through Guilds or Communities of Practice

　　What we would Like:

　　Understanding key technologies and strategies in CI/CD space

　　Demonstrable automation engineering or programming skills

　　Experience with Test Data Management and Test Environment challenges

　　Experience with testing highly customizable, multi-tenant web applications

　　Experience with Load and Performance Testing, managing non-functional requirements, and site observability.

　　Pay Transparency Statement: Alight takes into consideration a candidate’s experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography when determining an offer for a successful employment candidate, and Alight does so on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis. Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $110,400.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $177,800.00/year (for full time employees). In addition to a base salary, this position may be eligible for a bonus and/or other incentive plans.
