  Summary

  The Testing Center Manager is responsible for managing the Testing Center on the Downers Grove campus. This individual will be responsible for monitoring and overseeing all of the computerized exams and activities of the Testing Center to maintain a professional testing environment for all students on the Downers Grove campus. This individual will supervise the Exam Coordinators and Testing Center Monitors. This position reports to the Director of Information Technology Services – Infrastructure.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  Operational Management:Oversee the daily operations of the testing center, including staff scheduling, resource management, and facility maintenance.

  Create testing center block schedules. Review exam requests and approve/deny as appropriate.

  Implement and enforce testing policies and procedures to ensure a secure and fair testing environment.

  Collaborate with relevant departments to coordinate and schedule various tests.

  Produce and distribute exam results reports after each exam and forwarding to exam sponsor.

  Staff Leadership:Recruit, train, and supervise testing center staff.

  Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

  Create shifts, work schedules, manage paid time off requests, and schedule proctors as necessary in order to provide an appropriate proctor to student ratio

  Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

  Customer Service:Interact with students, faculty, and other stakeholders to address inquiries and provide excellent customer service.

  Resolve issues and concerns related to testing procedures or accommodations.

  Quality Assurance:Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test administration.

  Maintain clean and safe Testing Center environment. This includes daily reorganization of the room and coordinating proper cleaning requirements with the cleaning service.

  Maintain Testing Center supplies.

  Education and/or Experience

  Bachelor’s degree (B.A) required. 5-7 years of overall work experience with at least 3 years of previous experience in a testing center, academic or customer service setting required. 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience required. Must have strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with students effectively.

  Computer Skills

  Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job are correctable to 20/20 vision.
