Job Description: The Test Engineer will be primarily responsible for leading assembly level testing, validation, and verification of electronic, optical, and mechanical assemblies. This will include leading unit level test efforts for validating and verifying unit functionality and performance to mission and test environments (thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, vibration, shock, etc.). The Test Engineer will serve as test interface to program management and engineering design teams such as systems, mechanical, electrical, assembly/integration, and production teams. Will develop test plans, procedures, and reports that fulfill test requirements and provide objective evidence of compliance to from military and other Department of Defense managed test standards. Conduct readiness reviews to validate availability and suitability of test artifacts, support equipment, and other aspects critical to test readiness & execution. Manage execution of unit level testing at environmental test facilities in coordination with program and customer stakeholders, including supporting failure anomaly investigation and corrective action. Qualifications: • Experience with acceptance and qualification testing per MIL-STD-810, SMC-S-016, or similar; • 5+ years of writing or executing test plans & procedures and analyzing test data against requirements; • 5-10 years of experience developing & conducting test readiness reviews and executing test events. Desired Qualifications: • Team lead experience; • Direct customer interfacing; • Experience testing cross functional product (e.g. electrical/mechanical/optics/etc); • Comparing results of prior design analyses with test results from hardware, changing requirements; • 10-20 years of experience as a test engineer or lead; • Active Secret clearance or higher.
