Position Description: Design, develop andmaintain reliable test equipment to meet internal and external testingneeds. Maintain documentation for proper/safe use of test equipment andtest equipment capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Implement engineeringprinciples to safely achieve and maintain customer requested testconditions for various test articles with new or current test equipment.Develop specialized skills unique to specific test equipment tounderstand its operation (temperature/pressure/flow instrumentation,data acquisition) Analyze infrastructure capabilities vs. test equipmentneeds Troubleshoot test equipment when equipment unable to achievedesired inputs or outputs. Request quotes and justify repairs, than makearrangements to implement and document repairs. Generate and maintaintest equipment preventive maintenance documentation Maintain testequipment for efficient use of utilities (natural gas, water, compressedair, electrical) Research, justify and implement new products andtechnology Establish calibration needs for test equipment, approvecalibration certificates Design & develop new data manipulation andreporting procedures that meet quality and customer needs Approve testreports (confirm accuracy, test conditions) after testing completedStandardize test set ups and instrumentation procedures Responsible forthe training of technicians and other engineers as assigned RequiredQualifications: Complete assignments with the support and as assigned byexperienced test engineers Use experience to effectively develop andachieve suitable target dates and budgets for projects Take initiativeto evaluate new methods to improve...
