Summary About the Position: Administers written or computer based Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Enlistment Tests at Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) or other remote testing sites to determine individual qualifications for military service enlistment. This position does not provide guaranteed work hours each week, and work will be assigned on an intermittent "as needed basis". Intermittent employees are not eligible for benefits. Responsibilities Conducts specified aptitude examination sessions ranging in size from 1 to 40 person (enlistment tests), and 1 to 250 persons (student tests). Instruct applicants on testing procedures and starts, observes, times, and ends the test or test segment as directed. Utilize computer systems and software to administer computer-based enlistment and student aptitude tests. Responsible for the security and accountability of student test booklets, at home, during transport, and at the testing location. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as, 1) providing customer service to a variety of individuals; 2) utilizes a variety of office automation resources to complete tasks; and 3) properly maintains work materials. OR Education: Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages.
