Posting Summary
Rutgers School of Public Health (SPH) is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant. The Temporary Research Assistant will assist with implementation of the Firefighter Cancer Assessment & Prevention Study (CAPS). This position will be responsible for data collection, management, cleaning, and analysis. This position will also assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and manuscripts related to study findings.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
  • Assist with ongoing data collection (both quantitative and qualitative) and coordination for CAPS.
  • Attend weekly research team meetings.
  • Assist with data cleaning and database management.
  • Help facilitate study activities in the field.
  • Review selected literature relevant to study activities.
  • Prepare summaries and reports.
  • Assist with Institutional Review Board submissions.

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and statistical computing software (SAS).
