System One has partnered with a growing company in Union, New Jersey in their search for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for performing reconciliations, performing account analysis, and determining as well as investigating root causes of issues. This position offers a hybrid work schedule.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Performs general ledger functions according to generally accepted accounting principles.

　　Prepares complex account analysis and reconciliations, including unapplied cash and credit card accounts.

　　Ability to identify and correct discrepancies in account analysis and reconciliations.

　　Develops procedures for complex reconciliations.

　　Familiarity with tax functions.

　　Generates monthly accounting close, close package and analysis.

　　Reviews financial statements with departmental leaders monthly.

　　Assists with the preparation and evaluation of budgets.

　　Prepares supporting schedules and documents for year-end financial audit.

　　Performs other duties as assigned.

　　Requirements:

　　Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.

　　Previous work experience of 3 or more years in an accounting role within a public accounting company required.

　　CPA preferred.

　　Auditing experience a plus.

　　Knowledge of accounting controls and principals.

　　Computer skills with proficiency in Excel, including experience with V lookups and pivot tables.

　　Constantly driven to identify problems and suggest improvements.

　　Excellent analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.

　　Ability to work independently or as a team player.

　　Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.

　　Ability to maintain a high level of confidentially.

　　Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workloads.
