Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for NJMS-Microbiology. The purpose of this position is to provide cellular, genetic, molecular, and biochemical support at Dr. Sugimoto's lab.Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Performs laboratory research requiring analysis of yeast cells and mammalian and application of standard cellular, molecular, biochemical, and genetic procedures
  • Maintains necessary lab records, databases, and files as hard copies and computer files.
  • Do serial dilutions of biological organisms to assess numbers.
  • Maintains and manages lab supplies
  • Follow protocols to conduct basic molecular genetic and cell biology experiments.
  • Understands and adheres to Rutgers compliance standards as they appear in RBHS' Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.

  • Bachelor of Science or higher degree(s) and qualifications in lab technology, sufficient capacity and experience to gain expertise in the above duties.
