About Maintenance Planner

  Weyerhaeuser is searching for a Maintenance Planner to support our Plymouth, NC lumber facility.

  Key Functions:

  Ensure the safety of all associates by identifying safety issues and taking measures to proactively address concernsActively oversee, develop, and participate in preventative maintenance activities, and ensure effective communication across and between shifts and with the production teamsUtilize preventive maintenance systems to reduce unscheduled downtimeEfficient use of reliable troubleshooting methods to ensure uptime, production volume and quality goals are metContinuous improvement efforts involving maintenance and production crews in problem solving to maximize facility improvement in safety, housekeeping, waste reduction, quality, productivity and costUse computer-based programs to support effective prioritization of maintenance requests, manage maintenance inventory, and delegate maintenance resourcesLeading team meetings and training when necessaryIdentifying safety, environmental, quality and production issuesIdentifying measures to minimize cost and reduce wasteProviding backup support to maintenance supervisors to lead and direct electrical & maintenance activities and work assignments

  High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

  Minimum of three (3) years experience in a maintenance planner/scheduler positionWork related experience in leading and ensuring compliance with safety initiativesKnowledgeable in the areas of electrical & mechanical processes & troubleshootingProven expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance methodsAbility to identify root cause of problems and effectively initiate immediate corrective action to prevent reoccurrenceExcellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skillsDemonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all associatesStrong planning and organizational skillsStrong work ethic, good judgment and decision-making skillsDemonstrated computer skills and proficiency in MS Office, other windows based programs and internet skillsExperience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems such as Maximo, SAP, or other CMMS applicationsMust be willing to work holidays as needed, be “on-call” and provide rotating weekend support as schedule requiresAbility to work in extreme temperatures and at heights should conditions warrantThe following qualifications are preferred:

  Technical, Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in a related fieldExperience in wood products manufacturingOur Investment in You: What We Offer

  Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $64,000 to $97,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications, and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

  Retirement: Employees can enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

  Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with paid vacation for up to 3 weeks to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 hours along with paid parental leave for all full-time employees
