THE DIVISION OF STUDENT LIFE: University Housing and Dining is seeking a Temporary Food Worker I for Catlett Market Place. Under direct supervision, the Temporary Food Worker I performs a variety of tasks involved in the preparation of food, performs related cleaning jobs and sanitation duties as assigned.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
Participates in the preparation of foods, which includes cutting, slicing, grating or peeling vegetables and fruits; and chopping, grinding, or slicing meatsMay perform simple cooking tasks in accordance with specific instructionsAssembles, labels, stores, and issues foods as ordered or required to service areas at prescribed timesPerforms sanitation duties by maintaining and cleaning, serving, dining and kitchen areas during and after service and/or food preparationAssists with inventory control and ordering of foods and suppliesFollows standardized recipe and instructions of other personnel in preparation of food itemsAssist in on-the job training of students and other assigned personnel in the preparation of menu itemsPOSITION BASICS:
Hourly Rate: $16.48
WORK SCHEDULE:
Hours: Varied Work Schedule based on operational need. Typically working 8 hour shifts between the hours of 6:00 AM to 9:30 PM.
Shift: Varied First and Second Shift
Additional Hours: Occasional overtime may be offered to cover peak periods of operational need.
