Responsibilities You will serve as a Telecommunications Specialist in the Satellite Communication (SATCOM) Division (SPACE1/N92), Space Operations Department (SPACE/N9), Office of the Commanding Officer at Naval Network Warfare Command (NAVNETWARCOM). You will conduct SATCOM asset monitoring reports. You will assess and provide recommendations on requirements, issues, and planning actions impacting SATCOM systems. You will review and provide subject matter expert analysis to SATCOM policies and directives as required by other outside agencies. You will provide situational awareness and operational advisory fleet support to ensure protected SATCOM operations. You will complete SATCOM system updates. You will coordinate with commands and other agencies to assess and implement SATCOM requirements, develop, and analyze SATCOM related plans and policy, and concepts of operations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: -Experience applying concepts, developments, and policies to satellite communications management. -Experience planning, programming of technical and operational aspects of narrow-band (UHF) satellite communications. -Experience resolving programmatic and operational issues involving conflicting telecommunications requirements. -Experience monitoring and evaluating operational status of satellite communications (SATCOM) systems.
