Position Summary:
Prepares and paints all interior/exterior surfaces and structures.
Essential Functions:
Prepares and paints all interior/exterior surfaces and structures.
Patches holes, skim-coats, and caulks all types of wall surfaces (such as drywall, wood, metal, tile, etc.) and other surface preparations needed before painting.
Determines the best finish for application on interior/exterior structures and all surfaces (wood, metal, resin, plastic, etc.).
Prepares new wall surfaces, including drywall taping and surface sanding for painting applications. Uses all paints, including oil, latex, spray, or pressurized equipment.
Orders paint and supplies, responsible for maintaining inventory.
Cleans and maintains assigned shops.
Performs other work typical of craft and other duties as assigned.
Assists other trades as required.
Works with the Director of Environmental Compliance and Occupational Safety for discarding and removing all paint products and solvents.
Required Qualifications:
HS Diploma or GED .
Five years in the construction/painting trade.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical School experience.Minimum Salary: $3,090.40
