  Job Summary:

  The Advanced Concepts & Technologies (AC&T) organization within Pratt & Whitney Engineering is seeking a Technology Portfolio Manager, reporting to the Manager, Technology, Collaboration & Intellectual Property. This is a highly visible position that is responsible for the execution of the enterprise-wide technology strategy as well as the communication of status and results to senior leadership and the technology community at P&W and RTX corporate.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Execute key enterprise-wide, technology alignment reviews of the P&W Advanced Technology Portfolio (ATP) according to the technology process.

  Work with Program Chief Engineers (PCEs), Module Centers, and Program Management Offices (PMOs) to ensure alignment of technology plans with near-term and far-term product needs.

  Ensure the robustness of Technology Development Plans (TDPs) for elements of the technology portfolio, and provide periodic assessments of the health of individual technologies.

  Champion the execution of technology maturation reviews required by our agile technology process.

  Provide guidance to Technology Managers in their planning and execution of their technology packages, and ensure timely communication of organizational-level activities to the community.

  Support the development and refinement of the P&W technology strategy.

  Support technology-related Transformation Initiatives.

  Basic Qualifications:

  Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering from ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology).

  10+ years of Engineering experience, or 7+ years with an advanced degree.

  U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  Travel up to 20%

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Background in collaborative partnerships

  Broad gas turbine technical knowledge

  Leadership & initiative in unclear environments

  M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering preferred

  Familiar with commercial, military, and PWC businesses

  Knowledge of PW’s technology processes

  Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills

  Ability to work across groups and disciplines to achieve alignment

  What is my role type?

  Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

  This requisition is eligible for an employee referral award. ALL eligibility requirements must be met to receive the referral award.

  The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

  This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
