Position Description
Essential Duties and Responsiblities:
Assemble and install equipment such as drive motors, conveyors, and pulley assemblies.
Assemble and or fabricate various bulk handling equipment.
Aligns machines and equipment for proper operation.
Assemble machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures.
Repairs and lubricate material bulk handling machines and equipment to company/manufacture specifications.
Perform certified stick welding, arc gouging, and/or cutting torch operations as needed.
Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices on equipment and make adjustments.
Operate a variety of tools/equipment such as cutting torch, welder, forklift, aerial lifts, hand tools, power tools (impact wrench, drills, etc.),operate equipment that work is being performed on, and use electric test equipment.
Perform work from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
Participate in and promote safety and environmental programs.
Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Must be able to obtain certification to operate Overhead Gantry Cranes, Mobile Cranes and/or Bridge Crane.
Understand the inspection procedures and complete inspection reports on equipment using the MAXIMO tracking system.
Maintain all mobile and stationary equipment by performing preventive maintenance, i.e.: lubricating, cleaning, greasing, adding gear lubricants and other maintenance and repairs; Document all activity performed.
General cleanup of product through the use of a Bobcat, shovels, or water hose; Clean and perform basic housekeeping duties.
Assist coworkers and other departments on various jobs.
Position Requirements
Minimum Requirements: Education:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required
Experience/Specific Knowledge:
Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids, and hydraulic systems.
1-3 years of various conveyor maintenance experience.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers and must be willing to use personal and/or company vehicle in the course of employment.
Must pass and complete Safety training/certification as required by customers to work in their facilities and as required by Kinder Morgan at all locations, such as DISA and/or ISTC background checks may be required; Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) is required.
Must be able to obtain overhead gantry crane, bridge crane and/or mobile crane certification/s.

Ability to carry and communicate over a company-provided mobile radio.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals).
Must work schedule as assigned (days/evenings/nights/holidays) including weekends and overtime assignments.
Must be able to work an on-call schedule based on terminal needs.
Ability to handle evolving conditions.
Ability to identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, bend, squat, reach, etc. for extended periods of time.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Respirator fit testing may be required.
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
This position consist of outside work and adverse weather conditions may apply.
