You may be hired as a Technical Trainer I, Technical Trainer II, Technical Trainer III or a Senior Trainer depending on your experience. Astound's Technical Trainer will develop, administer and monitor the technical training programs with responsibilities for developing and facilitating field installation, service, plant maintenance training, education programs and practices. With us, you'll stay empowered to do your best work by creating astounding possibilities for local communities and beyond.A Day in the Life of the Technical Trainer:Development of training materials through detailed research, experience and needs assessmentsDesign and delivery of computer-based and multimedia curriculumCoordination of materials and programs with other market technical training resources for consistent messaging and efficiencyCoordination of training schedules and training resources for the marketProvide training using these and other methods: instructor-led (classroom and hands-on), web meetings, and online delivered by the LMS (Learning Management System)Development of a Train-the-Trainer program for business partners and the maintenance of charged session records to the outsourced companiesDevelopment of a skills based certification program for all technicians and partnersCoordination of external vendor training to support business needs and skill developmentMaintains training records & reports on training delivered, including attendance rosterProvides safety training to include but limited to: Ladder, Aerial Lift, First Aid CPR and AED training as needed to support Company's Safety ProgramTravel to offices within the company as needed to assist the market in meeting company goals and objectivesOther duties as assignedWhat You Bring to the Table:5+ years of telecommunications experience or equivalent required0 - 5+ years previous experience delivering technical training in Live, Virtual Instructor Lead, or On-Line environments0 - 5+ years experience delivering safety trainingProficiency in RF theory, Digital Theory, RF Design, Fiber Optics related to plant, IP networking basics and telephony, electricity, electronics, safety compliance or other related industry experience only required for the Technical Trainer II, III and Senior levelsInstructional design knowledge and skills including adult learning theory, job/task analysis, course and curriculum development, and evaluationExcellent organizational skillsStrong communication and listening skillsAbility to produce high quality Microsoft Power Point PresentationsFlexibility to travel within the designated market and occasional travel to other company locations to include out of state travelAbility to travel to markets as required up to and including overnight travel 30-40% of the timeValid Driver's license with satisfactory driving record within the company's requirementsAlthough not required, if you possess the following we s
