　　Occupational Summary:

　　The SME trainer works as part of the training and competence development team within the Quality department. This position is responsible for the facilitation, development and delivery of the applicable technical training for all personnel across Safran Seats USA. This position assists the Training & Competence Supervisor with internal client relationships and requests

　　Authorities:

　　This position has the authority and the right to control, command technical training activities and ensure compliance to the applicable defined company training policies, processes, practices and the defined objectives

　　Main Function Responsibilities and Activities

　　• Provide planned technical training to the new personnel and internal employees

　　• Re-train company employees to comply with training requirements / plans

　　• Ensure proper generation and archiving of employee's training records

　　• Provide active support to the new personnel and to internal personnel in regards to training related topics as required

　　• In coordination with operations manage and maintain the skills matrix

　　• Follow up on internal personnel with quality problems per production and program quality feedback

　　• Provide support on overtime, shift changes and extraordinary manufacturing activities as required by the manufacturing needs

　　• Promote teamwork and good working environment

　　• Ensure training material, modules, tools, records and premises proper handling and care

　　• Input TWI's in coordination with ME and Training Supervisor

　　• Collaborate with production, ME and Quality to perform gap analysis and action plans to improve personnel know-how, skills knowledge and competence development

　　• Create and conduct department specific orientation and training for new employees in functional areas

　　• Partner with Quality and Engineering. Identify Quality defects for re-training

　　• Create and validate Competencies for training matrices

　　• Conduct audits in functional work areas

　　• Participates in meetings and training sessions to obtain information useful to training and integrates information into training program

　　Confers with management and staff or Technical Training Supervisor to determine training objectives

　　• Performs other duties as assigned

　　Complementary Description

　　Physical Demands: This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, computer and copy machine, etc. Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job

　　Work environment: The work environment includes office setting with moderate office noise

　　Qualification Requirements

　　A. Education & Qualification: Two year certificate from college or technical school; or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experienced and multi-skill Safran Seats MFG. employee

　　B. Work Experience: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, technical documents, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure, manuals. Ability to write routine reports, correspondence and KPI updates. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to learn company programs. Learning Management Systems familiarity preferred. Training records generation, storage and retrieval

　　C. Professional Skills: Ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. Ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English. Ability to solve problems and think strategically. Performs work under direct supervision. Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
