　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　We are seeking a highly-skilled and compassionate Charge RN to deliver exceptional patient care in our 36-bed medical trauma unit. In this role you will be responsible for assigning patients, monitoring the work of the other nurses on the unit, as well as providing patient-centered direct nursing care, including telemetry monitoring, to a diverse patient population. 　　What you will do in this role:

　　As a Charge RN you will collaborate with the nursing leader and participate in decision making regarding patient flow (admits and transfers).

　　You will deliver patient-centered nursing care and participate in patient and family education.

　　Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, providers, cardiac specialists and patient care staff, you will administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the facility.

　　Utilizing computerized documentation systems, you will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.

　　When dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers, you will maintain cultural and diversity awareness, and much more.

　　What qualifications you will need:

　　Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).

　　Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.

　　1 year of medical surgical nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

　　Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.
