　　Summary / Role Purpose

　　Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team to partner with our customers to engineer enterprise-level software solutions and grow Ansys' business. Primarily working under direct supervision of your manager, you will contribute to the development of Ansys Platform solutions and supporting systems. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of expert professionals to accomplish solution development objectives.

　　Key Duties and Responsibilities

　　Perform basic development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules and sub-systems Learn and employ best practices Perform basic bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned solutions. Research and resolve problems discovered by QA, field, or customerWork under the close supervision of a development manager Strong understanding of front-end developmentEnsuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMSHelping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.Plan and execute database migrations between various platforms/websites, and seamlessly integrating data into WordPress.Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP).Good understanding of web development libraries, website architecture, and aesthetics.

　　Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

　　Required education and degree type: BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related fieldRequired minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+3 or MS+0Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking EnglishStrong organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgencyProjects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeedCapability to work independently, as well as with others in a fast paced, diverse team environment with continually evolving prioritiesAbility to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pagesExperience with languages such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQueryStrong understanding of PHP back-end developmentComfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome Inspector, etc.Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GitStrong proficiency with SQL query, database structure and management

　　Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+5 or MS+3Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)Experience with WordPress development (Rest, Hooks, WP themes, Custom post types and Taxonomies)Expertise with SQL/MySQL databases and in preserving URL structure and 301 redirects to safeguard SEO rankingsAbility to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team Familiarity with AWS Cloud platforms, Docker, PHP Unit
