Kforce is working with a well-known entertainment firm in search of a Technical Support Engineer to join their team in New York! This position is full time, direct hire and fully on-site.Summary:The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Windows and Mac with a basic level of user management including new accounts, password resets, troubleshooting, permissions, etc. as well as domain controllers, DNS/DHCP/WINS servers in Active Directory and an understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Routing, Switching and VoIP). The position also offers OT (it is a full-time role).SCHEDULED Hours:
Tuesdays 12pm - 8pm
Wednesdays 12pm - 8pm
Thursdays 10am - 6pm
Fridays 12pm - 8pm
Saturdays 12pm - 8pm
Sundays and Mondays off
Must be able and willing to work holidays when theatres are open; Must be capable of working flexible schedule as required by operational demands and be able to fill in for co-workers as necessary (due to vacation, illness, etc.)
Job functions/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Troubleshoot, analyze, resolve, and accurately document various technical problems and resolutions (i.e., software, hardware, and company specific applications)
Wi-Fi installations and troubleshooting
Maintain asset inventory of all equipment
Maintain standards and documentation on an ongoing basis as products and technologies evolve
Audit equipment regularly and ensure compliance
Bench repair of equipment and maintain spares
Completion of either a technical school program or college degree in IT required
Minimum 3 years of IT experience with IT administration and support experience with Windows administration and networking
Basic Microsoft Office 365 knowledge
Experience providing End-User support
Previous experience in a fast-paced consulting or MSP environment a plus
Knowledge of Windows and some level of Mac operating systems with basic level of user management including configuring new accounts, password resets, and troubleshooting user login, profile, and permission issues
Understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching and VOIP
Familiar with Active Directory infrastructure including Domain Controller/DNS Server/DHCP Servers/WINS Servers
Basic cabling knowledge and termination with troubleshooting skills
Strong consulting and communication skills (verbal and written)
Confidence and experience interacting with clients
Strong ability to work in a team-based environment
Ability to be a self-starter and possess good time management skills
Ability to walk between various Company offices and theatres within Midtown Manhattan including during inclement weather
Desired certifications: CompTIA A , Network
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
