  Job Description

  The Technical Solution Lead for food is responsible for leading the technical development of solutions for enabling the use of various digital trigger technologies for the food segment. The Technical Solution Lead works closely with the Segment Innovation Team and Global R&D teams to develop and demonstrate the value of the overall solution. The Technical Solution Lead must have a thorough understanding of RFID reader systems and RF theory. The Technical Solution Lead will be responsible for creating proof of concepts, prototypes and other demonstrators by combining the digital triggers with real world customer applications.

  Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  Leading the technical development of new digital trigger solutions for the food segment.  Applies existing experience in RFID reader systems, electromagnetic theory to develop new solutions (combination of triggers & reader infrastructure) in the food segment.

  Strong communication skills focused on both technical and customer facing presentation of solutions.

  Understanding of system design, hardware and software requirements for both POC and scaled deployments.

  Proven ability to design solutions that directly impact customer needs.

  Proven track record of working through complex problems while remaining focused on customer goals. 

  Collaborates with global R&D and Segment Innovation teams to design systems relevant to real world customer applications, including tag performance, RFID reader system optimization and integration.

  Ability to switch between big picture vision and hands-on prototyping of new digital triggers and RFID reader system implementation.

  Initiation and development of new IP around digital trigger solutions for the food segment.

  Responsible for ownership of the solution from ideation to finalization.

  Qualifications

  B.Sc. degree in Electrical engineering or related discipline; masters preferred

  5-10 years of experience in RFID reader system implementations.

  Good understanding of the fundamentals of RFID technology and electromagnetic theory.

  2+ years of relevant technical experience in the field of wireless communication/identification, including RFID, BLE, and other technologies.

  Understanding of wired and wireless network systems, IOT software, firmware functionality and system integration.

  5+ years experience with RFID reader functionality, settings and antenna configuration/selection. 

  Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  Experience in data integration for RFID systems is a plus.

  The ideal candidate will be an innovative, creative thinker who is comfortable working in an ambiguous environment.

  Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
