We are seeking a Technical Project Manager/Research Development Associate to join our team. This role will support federally funded bioengineering/ multidisciplinary effort, influencing the future direction and advancements in bioelectronics at the College of Engineering. These efforts aim to accelerate drug delivery and reduce the adverse effects of diseases such as diabetes.
As a Technical Project Manager (80%), you will:
Develop insights and actionable recommendations.
Lead strategic initiatives.
Ensure organizational excellence to advance our portfolio and increase impact for our customers and the broader bioelectronics and engineering communities.
Collaborate with the Principal Investigator, team members, and sponsor to manage project timelines and performance expectations.
Facilitate meetings and prepare technical reports.
Manage relationships with collaborators and sponsor.
Oversee project budgets with the finance manager.
Handle human resources tasks, supervise staff, and support project/program initiatives.
Manage risks, implement mitigation strategies, and oversee technology transfer activities.
Negotiate with stakeholders and apply project management methodologies and best practices.
Ensure project objectives are achieved on time and within budget.
As a Research Development Associate (20%), you will:
Work with College of Engineering faculty to pursue externally funded grants and support awards as a project manager, if appropriate.
Collaborate with faculty under the guidance of the Director of Research Initiatives, Associate Dean for Research, Chief Partnership Officer, and the Dean.
Facilitate the preparation of successful major grant applications, including large multi-investigator, multidisciplinary research proposals.
Identify and cultivate ideas, Principal Investigators, and teams.
Write proposals that meet solicitation requirements.
Work collaboratively with other project management, content development, and pre-award personnel as part of the Research Accelerator.
