The Technical Program Manager role serves as a conduit among executives, department leaders and the program team to define, prioritize and deliver Cloud Operations programs. As a Technical Program Manager you will have a focus on supporting large initiatives that involve multiple stakeholders and span across corporate teams. You will own the program plan and help the teams to achieve their delivery. Additionally, support the standardization of processes and tools across various projects and programs in the Product Development and Operations organization. You will manage stakeholders communications, be responsible for generating and maintaining a program plan, and highlighting any risks or impediments that will put the program in jeopardy. This position is an individual contributing role reporting directly to the Director of Technical Program Management.
ResponsibilitiesOwn and be accountable for the program area and drive the end-to-end delivery of initiatives for your program. Responsible for managing the scope, impact, and complexity of programsBe a leader and a partner with cross-functional teams in Cloud Engineering, Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, and Delivery Services for successful delivery.Have the natural ability to evaluate complex situations and work with stakeholders to accomplish program goals. Manage interdependencies and integrations across projects and various teams.Evaluate existing processes and make recommendations to drive process improvement and adoption of best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Be comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment.Facilitate project governance and identify, analyze, and prioritize project risk and develop response plans.Manage stakeholders priorities and expectations proactivelyEffectively communicate at all levels in the organization verbally and/or written.Lead meetings and workshops, while coaching teams on process and industry best practices to ensure quality.Prepare and maintain project schedules with all critical tasks and related milestones across multiple cross-functional teams.Ensure change management efforts incorporated plans.Utilize Project Management software and JIRA, Confluence, etc.
Required Skills:Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.Demonstrated skill in managing large multi-functional projects across remote locations.Advanced program management skills. Demonstrable knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programsUnderstand Cloud Technologies and experience in leading Cloud programsAbility to build team collegiality on large scale programs and across multiple geographical locationsProven negotiation skills and a strong ability to navigate executive levels of an organizationSolid knowledge of program and project management methods (such as PMP, MSP, and PRINCE2), together with an understanding of Agile MethodsAbility to find ways of solving or pre-empting problemsQualification and Education Requirements: BS or BA degree and minimum of 5 years of program management experience. Or a total of 5-8 years of experience in role/discipline.
