Xerox Corporation is looking for a talented and dedicated mechanical engineering student to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary product development environment to develop electro-mechanical solutions needed in the support of printing products.
Xerox is an industry leader in monochrome and color printing with a product portfolio designed to support a range of customer needs from the office to high-end production systems. These systems enable high quality output for customers by utilizing inkjet and xerographic marking technologies to print on a variety of paper, specialty media, and 3D objects.
The Mechanical Engineering intern will become an integral part of a multidisciplinary engineering team focused on the design, development and support of printing systems.
While working closely with experienced designers, engineers, and technicians, job duties to include as necessary:
The generation and selection of ideas in to solve product/customer problems.
Analyze, model (if required) and design solutions
Support the procurement and build of those solutions
Perform appropriate validation testing
Additional Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:
BS or MS student in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
Strong mechanical aptitude
Experience with CAD applications (NX preferred) and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Possess good oral and written communication skills
Highly self-motivated with a strong desire to learn
Knowledge of Design of Experiment principles a plus
Knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, molding, forming, etc) a plus
