In this position...

This position will be part of the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) team and will require a strong knowledge of DevOps, Tekton, ArgoCD, Google Cloud Platform native services, application monitoring, infrastructure monitoring, automation, maintenance, and service reliability improvements.

As well as directly contributing, technical leadership, architecture design and mentoring are key responsibilities for this position.

What you'll do…

Provide technical leadership and mentoring for the team across all workstreams

Architect and design complex cloud solutions

Desig and implement zero-trust security solutions

Design, automate and manage a highly available and scalable cloud deployment environment that allows development teams to deploy and run their services

Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and modernization teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions while leveraging scalability, high-performance and security

Modernize existing on-prem solutions and enhance the capabilities of existing systems

Provide architecture guidance for teams using and migrating to various CI/CD solutions

Automate deployments and manage applications and infrastructure as code in Google Cloud Platform.

Develop, enhance, and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices

Ensure optimal functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with security policies and best practices

Collaborate with various teams to identify optimization strategies and help develop self-healing capabilities

Develop and maintain observability solutions

Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and issues, and application deployment issues

Regularly review existing systems and make lean recommendations for improvements

You'll have...

Bachelor’s Degree

5+ years of experience in designing, deploying, and operating mid to large scale public cloud environments

4+ years of experience in DevOps

4+ years of coding and scripting experience, that includes traditional languages like Python, Powershell, GoLang, Java, JavaScript, Node.js

3+ years of experience with Cloud security solutions such as Cloud Armor, various IAM solutions,

3+ years of experience in Docker/Kubernetes (image building, k8s schedule)

3+ years of experience in Google Cloud Run, Cloud Build

3+ years of experience in Tekton

3+ years of experience in architectural design

3+ years of experience in Git and GitHub

2+ years of experience in ArgoCD

2+ years of experience in provisioning Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform

2+ years of experience in writing custom Terraform scripts

2+ years of experience as an anchor, team lead, or technical leader

Even better, you may have...

Experience in cyber security design and implementation with various SIEMs

Experience in Identity and Access Management with a focus on zero-trust and least-privilege

Experience in packaging and configuration and deployment management such as Docker, Helm, Kustomize

Knowledge and hands-on experience in Grafana and Prometheus

Knowledge and hands-on experience with OpenShift or containerization strategies

Experience with distributed storage technologies like NFS, HDFS, Ceph, as well as dynamic management frameworks (specifically Kubernetes)

Exposure to Cloud Monitoring and logging

Experience with automation tools

Google Cloud Platform experience and certifications are an advantage

This position is a range of salary grades 7-8 .
