　　In your role, you will

　　• Prepare structural and systems layouts, interface drawings, installations, assembly and detail drawings.

　　• Provide technical engineering direction to junior and intermediate design engineers to accomplish day to day tasks.

　　• Provide technical engineering- related solutions to production line for all structural and system installation issues.

　　• Ensure effective management of all design activities by closely working with other engineering departments, internal and external customers, Methods, Quality and Procurement.

　　• Work closely with the Chief of Design to continuously develop skills of team members through coaching, employee training and development.

　　• Maintaining technical knowledge and awareness of developments related to airframe structures.

　　• Closely interface with, stress, systems, manufacturing, and test groups.

　　• Support design and program reviews with partner/suppliers.

　　• Status projects for functional management.

　　• This position is based in Toronto.

　　As our ideal candidate

　　• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.

　　• A minimum of 10 years of experience in airframe primary and secondary structural design including systems installations.

　　• Understanding of airframe configuration optimization, loads, stress analysis, materials, manufacturing processes, tooling concepts and structural in-service requirements.

　　• Knowledge of CATIA V4/V5 is required.

　　• Understanding of civil aircraft certification rules and experience in certification procedures.

　　• Strong leadership, communication, and inter-personal skills
