job summary:
A global organization, and leading supplier of complex formed metal parts, is looking to hire a technically-minded Business Development Director. This person will be responsible for providing support to their key operating sectors, including: medical device, engineering, energy and aviation.
The right person will gain intimate knowledge of customer requirements and develop compelling proposals in collaboration with their engineering, operations and quality teams in order to secure profitable sales from new and existing customers.
Significant travel, to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role, will likely be required. In order to maintain and grow their target businesses, the ideal candidate will be based out of the Burlington, Massachusetts or Milwaukee, Wisconsin areas.
Well-qualifed applicants will have a BS degree, 10+ years of experience in a technical engineering/operations role and 3+ years of commerical sales experience.

responsibilities:
Develop and execute a sales action plan derived from fiscal year budget and long range plan (LRP) to meet or exceed those sales goals.
Provide pricing strategy for all repeat orders based on past product performance
Collaborate with the company marketing department to develop market presentations for assigned markets.
Develop, maintain, and have full responsibility for sales plans and forecasts in the North American markets as assigned and exceeding fiscal year budgets.
Qualifications
BS along with 10+ Years in technical engineering / operations role
3+ years commercial sales experience with proven success record
Ability to lead teams
Knowledge of workable and exotic metals is a plus
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present and share ideas to several levels of leadership
Skilled in the ability to use CRM systems to manage and track opportunities, inquiries, and proposals.
Ability to travel extensively to carry out the duties and responsibilities
