In partnership with a major Life Science organization, we are seeking candidates for a summer internship with Virology team based out of Rockville, MD. This is a 10 week Summer internship for 2024. Expected start date is June 3rd through August 9th, 2024. This is a 40 hour/week - hybrid 1-2 days onsite.
Who You Are:
Ideal candidate will be a rising junior or senior enrolled in Bachelor's level undergraduate program at a college or university majoring in Biology, Biotechnology, or other biology-related field of study.
The candidate should have good communication skills.
It is preferred the candidate is interested in exploring a career in scientific research or scientific industry.

Responsibilities
Your Role:
The summer internship will be completed under the guidance of the Technical and Scientific Solutions (TSS) team ( a client-facing team) and Technical Services (TS) team (who support client-facing teams). Both teams are global teams and work very closely with each other and are focused on external, as well as internal consultancy in technical/science/regulatory-related matters. Alternatively, the summer intern can participate in cross-functional activities/projects of both teams.
TSS Team: The work with TSS team will be focused mostly on scientific writing and research related activities (preparations of presentations, posters, webinars) according to the TSS ongoing projects. A summer intern will also participate in technical/science/regulatory (non-client facing) meetings relevant to Thought Leadership activities. The intern will have assigned TSS team member who will provide mentorship and technical/scientific guidance.
TS team: The opportunity with TS will focus on the update and refresh of our online scientific and regulatory repository (Knowledge Center). The intern will work alongside a Technical Services team member to develop and upload new technical content and refresh existing content in-line with business demand. The Knowledge Center is a key resource for colleagues within the CTS organization, providing direct access to scientific and regulatory information across our global GMP assay portfolio.
