How you will make an impact
As a remote member of the Human Identification Product Enablement and Services Team (PES), you will provide technical project management and oversight of global Rapid DNA solutions in support of the Thermo Fisher Scientific HID product portfolio. With a customer-centric focus, you will develop and deliver a range programs to meet forensic DNA customer objectives (in both laboratory and law enforcement) and exceed their expectations, applying forensic DNA subject matter expertise and project management standard methodologies.

What you will do
Manage DNA projects, ensuring quality results and customer confidence through all phases of project executionDevelop project schedules, timelines, milestones and key results in support of DNA initiativesAct as internal customer advocate for HID products, collaborating with team members to form project teams, establish scope and determine project roles and responsibilitiesEstablish exceptional working relationships with forensic DNA customers to develop and deploy programs that meet their objectivesDevelop external and internal communication strategies to manage customer and business partner expectations, while providing regular updates to HID leadership on project progress, results and project risksDrive resolution of technical troubleshooting during project execution; adapt quickly to project issues when they arise and create strategies to overcome obstaclesMaintain a high level of communication with customers before, during and after a project to ensure a clear understanding of needs and verify successful executionAssist larger product enablement initiatives in a technical project management role, and serve as a subject matter expert for other parts of the HID businessInterface with biometric vendors, channel partners and thought leaders to ensure integrated solutions meet customer needsDemonstrate professionalism in working relationships with team, customers and others within the company; serve as a role model for newer team members in how to communicate properly even in the face of technical and program-related challenges

Minimum education and experience requirements:
B.S. in biology, chemistry, or related field; M.S. preferred5+ years in a forensic DNA laboratory setting2+ years managing forensic laboratory projects and/or teamsFamiliarity with industry project management (e.g. SmartSheet, MS Project), and Micrsoft Power Platform toolsPMI, PMP or other professional project management certification is a plusExperience with the forensic DNA testing and laboratory environment, CODIS and validation requirementsFamiliarity with the interpretation of forensic DNA results and with the challenges faced by forensic DNA analysts

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $90,900.00-$136,350.00.
