The main purpose of this role is to manage the day-to-day accounting activities of an Insurance Captive as well as providing assistance on other risk financing tasks such as invoicing, presentations and budgeting.

　　Office based in the GRMS Illovo office and will be required to have meetings mostly at the Willis SA offices in Johannesburg or any other location agreed upon.Budgetary and risk management responsibilities:

　　No GRMS budget and risk management responsibilities.Revenue responsibilities:

　　No GRMS revenue responsibilities.Risk Financing - Account Management:

　　Day to day management of a small insurance company;

　　Monthly accounting includes journals and management accounts;

　　Preparation of payments;

　　Submission of accounts into client Financial System;

　　VAT 201 submissions;

　　Reserve Bank submissions;

　　Financial statement preparation;

　　Assisting with budgets;

　　Basic tax calculations

　　Corporate Governance:

　　Preparation of board meeting materials;

　　Preparation of board packs;

　　Communications with regulatory authority.

　　General:

　　Address ad hoc queries;

　　Assistance with Audits;

　　Monthly financial highlights;

　　Income-tool;

　　Assistance and coordination of invoicing of Risk Financing work;

　　Recon between the Income Tool and Invoicing;

　　Reporting on the WSA Risk Financing department results.

　　Review of contingency policy experience accounts and distribution to clients.

　　Monthly Accounting;

　　Regular Meetings with the Client

　　Monthly Reporting on outstanding premiums;

　　The requirements

　　Accounting degree/diploma

　　3-5 years accounting experience

　　Insurance Industry Knowledge will be an advantage

　　Experience working with Microsoft Office

　　Pastel Accounting will be an advantage

　　Managing of conflicts

　　Fluency presenting information in public
