　　JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

　　The School of Labor and Employment Relations (https://ler.la.psu.edu/) in the College of the Liberal Arts (https://la.psu.edu/) at Penn State invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty appointment to begin August of 2024. The appointment would be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor or as a Professor of Practice. This is a term appointment (standard academic calendar/fall and spring semesters) with a possibility of renewal.

　　Applicants for this position will be expected to teach courses in human resource management (HRM) at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

　　To be considered for the Assistant and Associate Teaching Professor ranks, candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management (or related field) or have completed all the requirements of the Ph.D. by the appointment date. Teaching experience is preferred.

　　To be considered for the Professor of Practice rank, applicants must have accumulated a decade or more of high-level leadership experience in the private or public sectors outside the academy that would provide a unique background and wealth of knowledge that is of particular value as it is shared with the University’s students and other faculty.

　　Rank and length of term will be determined based on education and experience.

　　The School of Labor and Employment Relations (LER) offers undergraduate degrees in Labor and Human Resources and in Organizational Leadership, as well as graduate degrees in Human Resources and Employment Relations and in Labor and Global Workers’ Rights, in residence and online through Penn State’s World Campus. 　　This position will be located at the University Park Campus of Penn State. In addition to teaching in residence, the successful candidate may be asked to teach in the LER School’s online program. The successful candidate will also be expected to perform occasional service duties within the School of LER.
