　　About This Role:

　　The Department of Statistics is seeking applicants for two 9-monthinstructional positions at the level of Teaching Assistant or AssociateProfessor with a preferred but flexible start in January 2024. These arenon-tenure track positions which will report directly to the DepartmentHead. The teaching load will be 3 courses per semester which may includea mix of courses for undergraduate majors and undergraduate/graduatenon-majors as well as a mix of on-campus and online courses. Aone-course summer teaching appointment for an additional month of pay istypically available.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　An earned Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, data science or otherclosely related field on or before the start of the job.At least one year solo teaching experience of statistics ormathematics at the university level in one or more modalities(in-person, online, hybrid)Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to create suitable content for online courses in statisticsin collaboration with an instructional designerAbility to work with a diverse student body with diversemathematical backgroundsPreferred Qualifications:

　　Experience in directing undergraduate researchExperience in statistical consultingInterest in statistical education and the development of anundergraduate course in sports analyticsAbility to contribute the on-going revitalization of theundergraduate program in statistics and data scienceOther Requirements:
