Description

This is a full time, 100% ONSITE, TEMPORARY and/or TEMPORARY-to-HIRE opportunity that could lead to a permanent position and is located near Jenkintown (or Elkins Park), PA. The working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30a - 5:00p.

A well-established accounting firm is looking to add a strong Tax Preparer/Accountant to their team and will compensate very well, based on level of experience. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for assisting with 1040s (Individual Income Tax Returns) during the upcoming tax season to kick off the new year, 2024. In addition, the company will also consider someone looking for a longer and more permanent engagement, who might also be able to assist with general accounting functions (audits, tax returns, reconciliations, and assist the firm's clients with their QuickBooks needs). The ideal candidate will be responsible, thorough, knowledgeable in tax return preparation (experienced in at least 1040s), and be technically sufficient, preferably having QuickBooks experience.

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare 1040s (Individual Income Tax Returns)

Other Responsibilities:

• General Accounting functions

• Audits

• 1065 / s corps

• Tax Returns

• Reconciliations

• Assist the firm's clients with tasks involving knowledge and usage of QuickBooks (invoice/data entry processing, managing/creation of accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.)

• QuickBooks

• Lacerte tax software

• General Accounting knowledge

• Audit/Tax knowledge
