TAX MANAGER - Private Equity Backed, Growth Oriented Company in Alpharetta
My client, a well-respected private equity backed company in Alpharetta, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of their tax compliance and planning activities. Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and file all corporate tax returns (federal and state), ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations and laws.
Conduct thorough reviews of tax provisions and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Review all monthly, quarterly, and yearly Sales and Use Tax returns.
Manage the Property Tax filing and payment process and address all state audits at the various locations.
Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the organization's tax position.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
Manage the Business License filing and payment process to ensure accuracy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial and operational information for tax reporting.
Provide guidance to internal teams on tax implications of business decisions.
Monitor and analyze the financial impact of proposed legislation or regulatory changes.
Responsible for all Tax Information request from outside vendors (i.e.: W-9, 147(c), and Federal and State taxing authorities request).
Work with outside Auditor and Consultants to ensure the best tax position for the company and its affiliates.
Prepare all tax analysis relating to acquisitions and divestures as requested.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or other relevant certification preferred.
5+ years of experience in tax management or a related role.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Proficient in tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
