  KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Associate to join our State & Local Tax practice.

  Responsibilities:

  Review sales, use, excise and other indirect tax data received on a monthly basis from KPMG compliance clients to determine if it is in the proper format for input into KPMG's mechanized tax processing systems

  Arrange the monthly data received into the proper tax location codes, tax types, tax categories, authority levels, taxpayer entities and tax amounts

  Apply client specific business rules to the tax data received from tax compliance clients to modify the data for input into KPMG mechanized tax processing systems

  Once the data is ready for input, process the data for the returns using one or more of KPMG's mechanized tax systems

  Reconcile corresponding general ledger accounts to ensure that tax payments agree with tax collections

  Reconcile product volume movements to verify proper accounting of receipts and sales

  Qualifications:

  Must be pursuing and have obtained by the start date or have completed the following degrees/majors in the past 12 months: Bachelor's or master抯 degree in business, accounting, management information systems, finance, or a related course of study from an accredited college/university

  Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above

  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Alteryx, Access, SQL Server, XML, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, or process mapping software

  Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice

  Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
