Description We are seeking a dedicated Tax Staff for our team based in Wayzata, Minnesota. The primary function of this role is to assist in the preparation and filing of federal and state tax forms, maintain internal files, facilitate client meetings, and provide administrative support to the tax and accounting department. This role requires a high level of professionalism, problem-solving skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and maintain records.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and filing of clients’ federal and state tax forms

• Prepare QuickBooks financial statements

• Provide administrative support to the tax and accounting department

• Communicate effectively with clients

• Enter return information accurately

• Maintain internal files meticulously

• Facilitate client meetings professionally

• Use CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, Gosystem, and Microsoft Excel proficiently

• Perform accounting functions and auditing tasks

• Monitor and report on cash activity

• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations

• Provide exceptional customer service

• Prepare monthly financial statements accurately and on time. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a tax staff role within a public setting.

• Proficiency in using CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, and Gosystem is mandatory.

• Familiarity with a management system is required.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential for this role.

• Must have a solid understanding of accounting functions and auditing.

• Experience in handling cash activity is necessary.

• Must understand and adhere to compliance regulations.

• Exceptional customer service skills are required.

• Ability to prepare and analyze monthly financial statements is crucial.
