Description

Robert Half is on a mission to find a diligent and astute Tax Analyst for a direct hire role at a premier institutional asset management firm. This remarkable opportunity allows you to execute regular US and international tax compliance preparation and reviews, along with the chance to assist on various tax projects. You'll be working closely with multiple teams within the organization, including accounting, operations, compliance, legal, investor relations, and an external administrator.

Responsibilities:

-Reviewing tax calculations, allocations, returns, and international tax filings prepared externally for the funds and management company.

-Collecting financial and tax information for external tax providers and responding to relevant inquiries.

-Ensuring ASC740 compliance on a monthly basis.

-Assisting with tax withholding compliance, FATCA/CRS reporting, transfer pricing, VAT, and CRT.

-Conducting ad hoc research on new tax legislation, strategies, and their tax implications.

-Implementing improvements to tax reporting and documentation within the company.

-Collaborating with different teams on various tax matters and questions.

-Using Excel, accounting software, and several internal and external applications daily.

-Manipulating large data sets for tax processes and analysis using proprietary software.

Qualifications:

-Minimum of 3 years of experience in public tax accounting or relevant experience.

-Experience in the financial services industry and partnership tax required.

-Interest in international tax considerations.

-CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

-High proficiency in Microsoft applications, predominantly Excel.

-Eager to learn coding fundamentals (Java/Python).

-Strong time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

-Eagerness to continue learning and enhance processes.

-Analytical, detail-oriented, and a strong work ethic.
