This is a full-time, direct hire role;onsite 3 days a week, 2 days remote.

  Responsibilities:

  Ensures accurate and timely processing and distribution of domesticand Canadian payrolls by leading the payroll function.Oversees governmental reporting and compliance.Motivates representative(s) by assessing strengths, weaknesses andproviding appropriate developmental and training opportunities.Implements successful hiring and/or retention practices.Promotes quality customer care by developing, communicating,interpreting, and ensuring adherence to payroll policies andprocedures.Recommends, develops, and implements quality improvement processes.Ensures compliance with federal and state payroll regulations byreviewing practices, procedures, reports, and systems for accuracyand by managing reporting deadlines.Oversees specialized payroll functions by monitoring and ensuringproper documentation of employee benefits payments, reviewingspecial calculations and deductions (i.e., garnishments, gross ups,etc.) and auditing federal, state, and local tax deposits andreports.Monitors FICA and FUTA contributions to ensure accuracy ofindividual pay checks.Helps ensure integrity of automated systems by functioning as thepayroll and time and attendance system administrator.Coordinates the operation and maintenance of these systems directlywith vendors.Oversees and tests data feeds to and from automated payroll andaccounting systems.Ensures accurate payroll-related information by overseeingpreparation and dissemination of payroll reports.Establishes a high standard for business confidentiality and datamanagement.Contributes to team effort by participating in special projects,such as systems upgrades and conversions, on an as needed basis.May provide guidance to members on payroll related matters.Meets quality standards by establishing and following Companystandards.Qualifications

  Minimum 5 + years related payroll and accounting experience,including previous supervisory experience.Canadian payroll experience required.Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or anequivalent combination of education and experience.Must have specific training and experience with payroll taxes.CPP preferred.Workday experience is preferred.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Knows how systems are structured and how to audit and review payrollinformation and reports.Provides direction and operational guidance on duties, servicestandards and goals.Receives tactical direction on new processes, practices, or goals.Supervises and provides direction to the Senior Payroll AccountingRepresentative.Conveys sense of purpose and motivates others to accomplish goals.Anticipates and overcomes obstacles to success.Basic understanding of how the business works.Professional know-how to meet technical standards.Convinces others internal to the organization to comply withprocedures and practices and accept new approaches and technologies.Resolves both new and familiar problems and understands processflow.Resolves defined problems and probes known sources for answers.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!Please hit APPLY to provide the required information, and we will beback in touch as soon as possible.
