We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join Zions Bancorporation. As part of the Digital Treasury Engineering and Support team, the Systems Engineer plays a key role in supporting, improving, and modernizing the Treasury systems.
When you join Zions Bancorporation’s Enterprise Technology and Operations division, you will be part of a huge movement to improve how customers bank through technology innovations. The Platform teams are operating in a DevOps fashion supporting both development and operations, creating opportunity to provide innovative solutions to business use cases as well as operation support. This person will support the platform for the Scrum team assisting with configuration, deployment, CI/CD, automated testing, etc.
The Systems Engineer will:
Be responsible for the support and configuration (Dev, Test, Stage, Prod and DR) on containers running an application server associated micro-services.
Participate in the design, development and support of environment.
Assist with troubleshooting code, sites and applications hosted on Containers (Docker on VM servers).
Research, analyze and make recommendations for technology features and functionality for the environment supporting DXP application and micro-services hosting.
Troubleshoot and identify potential problems and making appropriate recommendations and changes as necessary.
Production support including operation issues as well as deployments.
Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelors in computer science, information systems, other related field or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience with systems engineering and support, systems analysis, programing or other directly related experience with web sites and web site application development and support. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
Experience with development and deployment tools, such as Maven, Git, Maven, uDeploy, Docker
Familiarity with team-based software develop platforms such as Atlassian, ADO, etc.
Familiar with CI (Continuous Integration) and CD (Continuous Deployment) concepts and practices
Good understating of Containers / Networking / firewalls / F5 / DNS / Clustering
Ability to meet deadlines and creatively solve problems.
Ability to identify and solve problems and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail.

This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
