  Systems Engineer Intern- Summer 2024Job LocationsUnited States-OH-CincinnatiCategoryIT Infrastructure & SupportJob SummaryOur corporate activities are growing rapidly, and we are currently seeking an office-based Systems Engineer Intern to join our Information Technology team.ResponsibilitiesWe have openings for entry level internships within the Core Infrastructure team at Medpace. The list below are samples of some of the technologies that we work with. While we desire candidates with experience in these specific technologies, we also understand that each of them have market alternatives, so the most important skillset a candidate can have is a good attitude and have a strong work ethic. Top candidates will have an aptitude to learn new technology and have a "do what it takes" attitude. The ideal candidate will have some familiarity and exposure to windows server and virtualization technologies and understand the systems side of data center management. Shell scripting and demonstrated ability to automate tasks and processes is a plus.On-premise servers running Microsoft technologies such as:SharePointSkype for BusinessExchangeIIS Web ServersSQL ServerActive Directory (DNS, DHCP, GP, etc.)System CenterAzure Infrastructure and Applications, including Office 365 technologies (such as Exchange, SharePoint, etc.);VMWare infrastructure in both Cincinnati as well as in our International datacenters;Storage network both onsite and globally using EMC and Pure;Backup operations using CommVault and Symantec BackupExec;SDWAN with Silver Peak;Traditional Windows Server administration; andDell Server hardware.QualificationsWorking towards Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field;Strong desire to learn and grow, with a solid foundation of technical background and experience;Ability to be self directed with assigned tasks and ability to research solutions and come forward with recommendations for new and creative ideas to solve problemsAbility to communicate effectively with peers, end users, and management.Medpace OverviewMedpace is a full-service clinical contract research organization (CRO).
